Our Beliefs

About God

Fellowship believes there is only one God. He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, all-present and all-good. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

About Human Beings

Fellowship believes Men and Women are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of God's creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. This attitude separates man from God and causes a multitude of problems, both individually and corporately. The ultimate result of sin is spiritual death and eternal separation from God.

About Eternity

Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

About Jesus Christ

Fellowship believes that Jesus Christ is the virgin born Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

About Salvation

Fellowship believes that the problem of sin has no human remedy. Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of all humanity. Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, it is only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness that man can be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

About Eternal Security

Fellowship believes that because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in the salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.

About the Bible

Fellowship believes the Bible is God's word to all mankind. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.

About the Holy Spirit

Fellowship believes that the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer at least one spiritual gift at the point of conversion for the purpose of serving others. The gifts are to be exercised in an orderly manner to build up and unify the church. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.

About the Church

Fellowship believes the head of the church is Jesus Christ. The church is a local and unified group of believers who share a common faith in Jesus Christ, commitment to the scriptures, and follow Christ's commission to make disciples. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.

About the End Times

Fellowship believes that God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to an appropriate end. Though some of the details of the events encompassing this time period are highly debated, there are many certainties. Jesus Christ will return to manifest the kingdom of God. At that time, the dead will be raised and all humanity will be judged by God. Those people who have accepted salvation through Christ will be received into heaven. Those people who had rejected salvation through Christ will be consigned to hell. Both heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
